Frequently asked questions

Questions, answered clearly.

How Aqua Compass, Island Explorer, the Aqua Plan and request-to-book journey work.

Is an Aqua Plan a confirmed booking?

No. It is a structured planning record and enquiry. Availability, final price, equipment, access and the operating decision are confirmed after review by a suitable operator.

Are ocean and weather values live?

Only values labelled Current or Forecast and shown with a provider and timestamp should be treated as live. Otherwise the interface shows Seasonal, Partial, Unavailable or Error.

Why can a recommendation change?

Sea state, weather, wildlife movement, access, equipment and operator availability can change. Aqua Plan B keeps a practical alternative visible.

Do all activities use an experience level?

No. Traveller questions adapt to the activity. Technical confidence may matter for surfing or diving, while comfort, mobility or support needs may be more relevant for wildlife trips and lagoon experiences.

How are operators described?

Public-source listed, operator-confirmed, documentation-reviewed and routing-eligible are separate statuses. One status is never presented as proof of another.

Can I remove or clear Aqua Plan items?

Yes. The Platform owns add, remove and clear operations. The header counter and My Aqua Plan page should update from the same visitor-specific Plan state.

What happens after I send an enquiry?

You receive a reference and summary. Aqua Sri Lanka reviews the request and seeks local confirmation. No payment or booking is implied until the next steps are explicitly confirmed.

Still need context?

Send a focused question to the concierge.

Include the activity, month, likely base and any support needs. This makes the answer more useful.
